Joining A BNI Chapter - before your competitors do!
How would you like to get more business for yourself, while at the same time prevent your competitors from doing the same?

If so, BNI is for you! BNI sets up groups of business people with only one representative from each trade or profession in a group. These groups (called chapters) meet on a regular basis for only one purpose – for the members to pass each other business. BNI trains its chapters to be extremely effective at finding business for the members. BNI operates on the principle of 'Givers Gain' – if I find business for you, you will want to find business for me.

Networking requires commitment. The most successful chapters of BNI are comprised of participants who are sincerely committed to helping one another through networking. They are a team. BNI chapters provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment for men and women to develop their business through word of mouth recommendations and networking skills.

How to join
Visit a local BNI chapter, and after the meeting, ask any member of the leadership team for an application form – if you apply to participate in BNI, your application will be reviewed by the chapter's membership committee. Any business person is welcome to attend a BNI chapter meeting as a visitor.

If you haven't already been invited by one of our members, please contact BNI Regional Office by phone or e-mail to arrange an invitation; we would be delighted to hear from you.

What to expect
Plan to arrive between 6.30am and 6.45am in the morning, the meeting will finish by 9.00am.
Below is a brief overview of what to expect:

  • Open Networking; introductions and a chance to mingle and chat with current members and this week's visitors over tea/coffee.
  • Sales Manager Minute; each member spends 60 seconds briefly educating other members and visitors about the service they provide, and what sort of referrals they are looking for. After this, you together with other visitors also have the same opportunity to talk about your business for 30 seconds.
  • 10 minute Business Showcase; one member each week is given an opportunity to present a more detailed overview of their business.
  • Referrals! This is where each member gets the chance to give out qualified business referrals to other members.
  • Announcements, close of meeting.
  • Breakfast is served

   
What to bring with you
To make the most of your visit please bring the following with you:

  • Plenty of Business Cards; you will have a chance to network and pass your business cards round to all members and other visitors.
  • RM25.00; this is a contribution towards the meeting room hire, tea/coffee and breakfast.
  • Dress code: Formal
